FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about our tours

Why do you call yourself Panzer Travel and what is your purpose?

The name “panzer” means ”tank” in German and is perhaps the most recognizable element of a military technique from World War II, with panzers being used by the Germans and their allies in all theaters of war, from Normandy to Stalingrad and from Berlin to the African desert. Our goal is to organize historical and cultural WW2 and other tours, in Romania, Europe, and the rest of the world.

Where did you come up with the idea of organizing Battlefield Tours?

The inspiration came up after visiting various WW2 museums, memorials, and monuments in Normandy, Berlin, Auschwitz, Moscow, and St. Petersburg (Leningrad), but also other places where dramatic events that occurred changed the fate of mankind during and after the end of the Second World War.

Do you organize any other tours?

Of course, we also organize tours that focus on other historical periods, or on a certain geographical area where local culture and traditions are well maintained. These tours can be found also on our website.

How do I book or pay for the tour?

After carefully studying the schedule of your desired tour, contact us for details and payment. At the moment there is only the option of bank transfer and for all the participants, a contract and an invoice will be issued.

What is your opinion about ideologies or politics?

PANZER TRAVEL does not support or promote extremist ideologies or movements of the far-right or the far left, does not engage in politics, and does not instigate hatred, xenophobia, antisemitism, or racism. Our tours will be organized with impartiality in mind and respect historical accuracy so that they should not be seen as an attempt to glorify nations, individuals, or tragic events that occurred in the Second World War or other historical periods.
